The International Type Throwdown was a project that engaged students from several universities around the world in a friendly competition centered around type design. This project was inspired by Jessica Hisch's Daily Drop Cap project and the Type Fight website. Students designed letterforms, we divided them into brackets and let people vote on which ons they liked the best. Each week we advanced the winners. The Ulrich Museum of Art on the Wichita State University campus hosted the event in their experimental gallery space. You can read more about the project in a press release by the Ulrich here.
